Darling Girl Friends Central Swatches Pt. 2
Hi! Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I'm still fighting a persistent cold that doesn't seem to want to quit. For those who were affected by storm Jonas I hope you all made it through okay. Today I have my review on the rest of the DG Friends Central collection. Here's part 1 in case you missed it. This collection is actually being released tomorrow along with another small collection and their Ka-Pow brow powders. As per usual, petits will retail for $2.50 and full sizes for $6.00.
Products were provided as press samples. All thoughts and opinions are my own. For reference, my skin tone is slightly lighter than an NC15, fair with warm undertones. Please view my disclosure policy for more information. Swatches are done half on Urban Decay Primer Potion, half over Darling Girl Cosmetics Glitter Glue.
I Wasn't Supposed to Tell Her! is a silver with blue and gold shimmer.
She's Your Lobster is a deep red with multicolored shimmer. This one is very pretty.
We're on a Break is a malt brown with a blue shift. This one needed a sticky base for best performance. I'm curious to see if it holds the duochrome effect when foiled as a liner.
Jet Aplee Booo is a salmon pink with gold and pink shimmer. It Makes a gorgeous lid or highlight shade.

Smell the Fart Acting is a vivid orange with a green shift. I couldn't for the life of me get the shift to show in direct lighting so here is how it looks in indirect lighting:
I suspect it's pretty similar to Shiro's I Loved a Maid eyeshadow. I don't own it so I'm happy to have this one.
Gum Would Be Perfection is a bright barbie pink with silver glitter. This is a super fun and girly shade. I like that it doesn't lean too red either.
Smelly Cat is a dark purple with pink and blue shimmer. This is one of the two Diamond Dust shadows in this collection, with the other being Oh My God.
Ugly Naked Guy is a warm brown with a matte finish.
7, 7, 7, 7 is a warm coral blush with gold shimmer. Seems like a decent dupe for Nars Orgasm, and the shimmer is pretty subtle. I wore this in one of my looks below on the cheeks as well as the eyes.
How You Doin'? is a pinkish berry with a slight blue iridescence. I haven't talked much about DG's blushes but they're one of my favorite indie blush formulas. Some indie blushes are very pigmented and can be a bit difficult to apply on pale skin without looking garish. These always blend out nicely and last all day. There's a lot of color options, including more unique shades like duochromatic blushes.
Unagi Pucker Paint is a warm orange with pink undertones. This color looks more like a orangey-raspberry pink in the tube and when it's freshly applied but once it dries down, it becomes more orange. I think whether your skin leans warmer or cooler will determine how orange or pink this shows up on you.
There is another Pucker Paint in this collection called I Know which looks to be a dark cool purple.

Wearing Miss Consuela Bananahammock on the inner lid, Jet Aplee Blooo on the center lid, She's Your Lobster on the outer corner, Smell the Fart Acting in the crease, and Ugly Naked Guy as a transitional crease shade.
Wearing Ugly Naked Guy and How You Doin' Blush mixed as transition shades, Smelly Cat in the deep crease and inner and outer lids. Here Comes the Meat Sweats is the center lid shade, and I Love Ross, I Hate Ross are on either sides of it. Here Comes the Meat Sweats is a bit pinker in person. My blush is DG Aloha and my lipstick is NYX Butter Lipstick in Pops.
Overall I'm loving this collection. There's a lot of variety for different looks. Pigmentation on most of them is very good, and I personally love all of the glitterbombs! I'm not entirely sure if the inner glow blushes are eye-safe but they actually make great crease shades.There's some beautiful duochromes in there as well. I plan on picking up Ms Chanandler Bong, Here Comes the Meat Sweats, Crap Bag, and How You Doin' blush tomorrow when they launch.
