New Years Eve Look!
For NYE, my boyfriend and I were invited to a masquerade party. My friend Christine recommended I do a jewel toned look to go with my black dress so that's what I did! I used this gorgeous look as inspiration. I think it came out fairly similar, minus the pink tones in her crease. You'd think with all the eyeshadows I've accumulated over the last several years I'd have all the colors I'd ever need but I'm seriously lacking in the hot pink eyeshadow department!
In the next coming weeks, the site will be undergoing some construction. I've hired a good friend of mine who's also a web developer to give the blog a facelift, all of which I'm very excited about! I'm hoping to integrate some new features that will help you stay better connected with updates and such, including an email list.

Contrasting Tone Eye Looks
Lately I've been fully enjoying the warm color palette that comes along with the fall season - lots of deep reds, emerald greens, smokey purples, tarnished golds, and coppers. Orange and red were two colors I never used to like and surprisingly they are now some of my favorites to wear. I still like to mix it up and do cool tones when the mood strikes though! I'm going through another "press all the things!' phase so all of these shadows used below have been pressed. I've mentioned this elsewhere but pressing is a great way to avoid making impulse purchases and it helps me get rid of clunky jars so it's a win-win. Should the weather decide to cooperate, I should have a new review up on Thursday.

Is it A Dupe? Swatch and Comparison
Hey everyone! Today I have a post on dupe comparisons of my shadows. I've been wanting to do this post for a long time and it was a lot of fun testing out colors I suspected to be dupes. Some turned out to be right on and others not as much! Nothing is better than discovering that you already have a similar color to a shade you've been wanting. This is only half of the possible dupes, stay turned for a part 2 soon. All of these shades are shown over Urban Decay Primer Potion (left) and Darling Girl Glitter Glue (right).
Semi-dramatic Pink Halo Eye
Hi readers! I have a backlog of shadows I want to swatch and review but it's literally been raining every day in the last two weeks -_- As I've slowed down on my indie purchases, I've been really trying to utilize colors I already have and work on my makeup skills. Today I had some time to get ready and play with my makeup before meeting up with a friend for dinner. This is the first time I've applied false lashes in a while and I forgot how they enhance a look! These ones are the Koko lashes in Goddess (they're a dupe for the House of Lashes Noir Fairy lashes).

A Few Recent Makeup Looks
Hi everyone! Hope you are having a nice week. Today is my day off and I plan on spending it pressing my Siren Song Cosmetics and Brija Cosmetics samples into 15mm pans. Are any of you into pressing your eyeshadows? I'm currently going through a phase. I usually depot my samples into 5g jars because sample bags drive me crazy but lately I've been loving the storage-saving and convenience of pressing. I still depot colors I can't press - those that contain Ultramarine or Ferric Ferrocyanide are not recommended to press, as well as matte shades. I love the feeling of satisfaction when I look at all those 15mm pans all lined up neatly in my Anothersoul palette.
I have been shopping for new indies quite a bit this month. I'm participating in a Spring Exchange over at the subreddit r/IndieIslandofMisfits and have been having lots of fun picking out items for my partner (no spoilers here Briana! Mwuahaha) plus picking up various odds and ends for myself. My Notoriously Morbid order containing the Wave 4 Line of Mattes from their Slay Me Collection and the GWP's is on its way to me and should be here hopefully early next week so expect a review and swatches on those. Without wanting to give away much else to my partner just in case she sees this, I have some exciting posts coming up in the next month :)

FOTD: Christmas Eve Makeup
Hello! I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. Today I have
some photos of the look I wore on Christmas Eve. These pictures are not
actually from Christmas Eve but I loved this look so much I decided to recreate
it and share them here. Only difference was I wore some Red Cherry #43 lashes
on the 24th, whereas here I was pressed for time and am just wearing
two coats of mascara. I tried to incorporate some new products I've recently received.
I plan on doing a swatch post on my recent Fyrinnae order
with a FOTD and a review of the Aromaleigh Subscription box (so happy I was able
to get a slot!) when I get it in the mail. I also have an order from Siren Song
and Ten Three labs pending too, so stay tuned for that!
